Project: “Connect with Words, A Math Book for 6th Graders”
J.H.S. 162 The Willoughby          
Project Description:    Through this project, students will be using their
understanding of math and math vocabulary to create a digital book that will be
shared with future sixth graders. Funds will go to purchase 2 Chrome Books for
their after school program.

Project:   Masks and Pinatas
Sunset Park High School
Many of our students come from cultures where piñatas are a part of their
culture, and were excited to create something that has been a part of their
lives. We will use cardboard, paper-mache and paint to create our masks and
pinatas.

“Girls Rising- Empowering students through English and Dance”
The Brooklyn International High School             
Project Description:    In English class, students will read, “Brazen: Rebel Ladies
Who Rocked the World”. During Dance class, students will use the images in the
graphic novel to create original dances dedicated to heroic women. This will
culminate with a dance performance by the students.
Funds will purchase 30 copies of the book, Brazen: Rebel Ladies Who Rocked
the World, and $100 will go towards supplies to create costumes for the
performance.

Project: “Faces of Sunset Park/ Perfect Day”
Sunset Park High School                  
Project Description:    The photography club will make portraits of the students
and faculty. Then they will ask the students and faculty the question; what would
be a perfect day? The photographs and answers to that question will be
displayed for the school to see.

Middle School, District 75, Queens
Project:   The SWAG Shop
(A store in the school where the students will sell their products.) All of the funds
will go for the autistic students program and will be spent on art supplies
including but not limited to canvas, paint, paint brushes, paper, sponges, stamps,
cork paper and frames.

Project: Spring Ensemble
Ebbets Field Middle School

In the Spring of 2020, Bronx Theatre High School will produce an original musical
in collaboration with the Dram, Art and ELA departments. The funds will be used to
buy art and design materials for costumes, props, and set pieces. Grant $500       

Project: 6th Grade Philharmonic Trip    These funds will be used to buy tickets to
take the 6th graders to see the New York Philharmonic's Young People's Concert
in this spring.

“What Will You Stand For”
Brooklyn International High School
The students will make an animated film in conjunction with their Humanities
class. This film will address the history of the boxer rebellion. The funds from
this grant will go to purchase art supplies such as class kits of ClayToons oil-
based clay, for use in making the film.

Annual Dance Performance  
Brooklyn International High School  
Funds will go to renting a theater to give students the opportunity to perform in
a professional theater. Students will choreograph and perform their own dance
